Earlier this winter, Katie and four friends got together to form a string quintet. They rehearsed all on their own during study halls and on weekends, and this week they performed Pachelbel's Canon in D. They did such a good job, their orchestra teacher encouraged them to enter a regional competition for ensembles. Katie has also entered the competition as a soloist.
