Happy Birthday, Zach!

Well, Zach is officially 8 years old, and he occupies that wondrous phase in which some days he looks so grown up, and other days I can still see the vestiges of toddlerhood. Here is posing in his birthday gift from Auntie - a Patriots football jersey featuring the number of his favorite player, Brady. He LOVES this shirt!

Below, is Zach the morning after he came into our bed in the middle of the night after a nightmare. With him is "Monkey," his constant bedtime companion, (also a gift from Auntie) that he has had since his third birthday.

I love you, Zach.  You are a sweet, smart, creative, motivated little boy and I love to watch you play football by yourself at the park when you come home from school.  You run, throw, catch, tackle, receive and pass all alone, and have a great time doing it. I especially love the imaginary huddles you make before executing a play. Don't ever lose that wonderful imagination. (Einstein was right - imagination *is* more important than knowledge.)

Happy Birthday, Zach!  I love you to the moon and back!
