This is Katie's second year in strings orchestra. Here are some pictures from their first concert of the year. There are 30 kids in strings, and about 4 times as many kids in band. (This *is* Big Ten country, after all.)
With the failure of our last levy, devalued property values and recent funding cuts from the state, it's possible there will be no music, art or gym at all next year district-wide. It's also almost certain that all the magnet schools will be closed, meaning Abby and Zach will start a new school next year. Which one, we do not yet know.
