Katie's in Print

Katie recently entered a Halloween writing contest held by The Columbus Dispatch. Over 1,000 students from all over central Ohio entered the contest, and several of them were chosen for publication on the paper's official website. Katie was one of them! We may have to get her a literary agent if this keeps up.

The newspaper provided the beginning and the writer had to provide the end. In short, the beginning is several kids going up to a house on Beggar's Night only to find that the old man who answers the door has forgotten to buy candy. He tells the children to wait, goes into the house and returns with...

(Katie would like you to note that the original title was "A Trick or a Treat" and that there is a typo in her opening line. The "or" should be an "and".)
