Like many little boys his age, Zach is obsessed with Legos and Star Wars. His choice of costume needs no explanation. Abby had been reading the Percy Jackson series about the modern-day offspring of Greek gods, and decided she wanted to be Athena for Trick-or-Treat. Katie was undecided until the very end, and decided to go as a "retro ghost". It was a perfect choice for her.
This was her first year going out with her friends (as opposed to with Abby and Zach) and she got lots of positive attention for her "classic" (read "wholesome") costume choice.
