Soggy Soccer

This spring has been very rainy.  We've only seen the sun twice in eight weeks.  Consequently, many of Abby's soccer games have been cancelled and rescheduled either due to heavy rains or poor field conditions.  Because the season had already dragged on several weeks past its usual conclusion, Abby's final game was played regardless of pouring rain and saturated fields.  Mud was flying and players were sliding.  The kids thought it was great, the parents not so much.

Here's Abby stealing the ball.  (Double click to enlarge.)  It bears mentioning that our daughter was not only the sole girl on her team, she was the only girl in the entire game.  Way to go, Abby!
