Katie's troop is working toward their Bronze Award, the highest award a Junior can earn. This spring the girls held a Brownie Outdoor Day to fulfill one of the award's community service requirements.
The girls created a new Brownie badge from scratch they called, "Go Green, Girls!", which teaches young girls about recycling, composting and hazardous household waste. They guided area brownies through the requirements for the badge during one of the hottest, muggiest days of the year. The above picture is of Katie at the registration booth.
