Taking Myself Seriously

My brother Adam has been telling me for years that my attitude toward ceramics needs an overhaul. He has said on more than one occasion that if I keep saying pottery is "just a hobby" it will stay just that. I've always known the truth of his words, but have been fearful to act on them. No more. Prompted by a milestone birthday fast approaching, I have decided to carve out a work space for myself at home. To make it more real, I'm announcing my intentions to my legions of readers so that I will be kept accountable. I am in the early construction phases now. I have just chosen a site and will begin excavation shortly. See for yourself:

Current tenants have to decide if they're going to keep the "My Little Pony" Castle in the lower left corner, the booster seat, and the black stereo beneath it purchased from Caldor in 1987 for $60.00.
