Last week Zach and I discovered a protected wetlands area 3 miles from our house. I'd had no idea it existed, as the land is entirely surrounded by residential neighborhoods. It's truly amazing. We went back yesterday for our family walk and saw a heron, and lots of frogs, spiders and animal tracks.
