On our dining room wall hangs a charcoal sketch I did in college that reads "The secret of life is..." The "answer" at the bottom is torn off and replaced with a mirror. Last night our 12-year old niece, Cassidy, was facing the mirror and jokingly speculating upon the answer. "The secret of life is...The secret of life is..." Sitting next to her was Zach, who, with a mouth full of chicken parmesan says, "Oooh...Cass...Cass...I know...Life is a highway...All night long," and with great satisfaction he resumed his dinner.
